Networking with Success - Discover How We Make Connections Happen!

At this year’s "Innovations for the Mobility of the Future" conference in Munich, Bayern Innovativ GmbH and the Young Mobility Network (YMN) teamed up to power Bavaria’s mobility sector forward. The YMN brought fresh energy to the event with engaging networking activities, including an interactive session led by our Founder, Anna Filby. Her “Networking for Dummies” workshop made connecting easy and fun for all attendees. After the conference, YMN members gathered for our Munich “Stammtisch”—a relaxed meetup to keep the ideas and inspiration rolling.

Bayern Innovation & YMN: Let’s Kickoff an Engaging Day!

In October, the Young Mobility Network joined forces with Bayern Innovativ to support their Networking Conference in Munich. Here’s a quick and easy recap of the day, broken down into three key highlights:

1. Networking Coaching: Have you Mastered the Art of Building Meaningful Connections?

Together with YMN and Founder Anna, a few lucky participants had the opportunity to kick off the he day with a networking coaching session. One benefit which the participants particularly enjoyed was that they had already enjoyed a digital kick off together and talked about challenges in networking and how to overcome them. On the day, the group started by introducing their “Networking Superpower” to each other —a strategy to highlight individual strengths and connect with others right from the start. The participants got a sheet with 3 challenges each to support them to make more meaningful connections. So off they went!

2. Networking for Dummies

After a day packed with inspiring mobility-related insights, the afternoon session brought a chance for everyone to interact. The best part? Attendees could jump right in and start connecting. Anna Filby led a lively Speed Networking session with around 60 participants, offering each person the chance to build new connections and ignite fresh ideas. "Behind every connection lies an adventure and potential opportunity," Anna highlighted. Using the interactive tool Slido, participants shared networking tips and challenges. Then Anna kicked off three rounds of speed networking, filling the room with an excited buzz that hit the peak energy of the day.

The speed networking was an awesome format! Even I, someone who generally finds networking rather tedious and exhausting, had a great time. I was able to connect with fascinating people and gain new perspectives—all in a relaxed atmosphere with no awkward pauses in conversation.

3. Wrapping Up at the YMN Munich Stammtisch

In the evening, attendees gathered for a relaxed meetup at a local pub in Munich to wind down together. Organised by Laura Flechsig and Dr. Deike Albers from YMN, this gathering was the perfect conclusion to the conference day. Over pretzels and beer, attendees continued discussing industry topics and formed deeper connections, with some even exploring potential new collaborations.

A Closing Thought from Bayern Innovativ

We teamed up with Anna and the Young Mobility Network for our annual conference, and they truly elevated the experience! In addition to the marketing package, Anna’s live networking session was a highlight, adding incredible value to our event. Our participants were absolutely thrilled! And the relaxed get-together (Stammtisch) afterward was the perfect, informal way to wrap up an inspiring conference day.
